Secure · never sold to brokers
Four stages on every job our movers from Virginia run — this is what each of them looks like.
Runners down and door jambs padded before a single box is carried.
Blankets, shrink and tape on every piece — not only the fragile ones.
Each tier is strapped before the next goes up — that is what stops shifting.
Carried to the room you choose, inside the window we agreed in writing.
Our trucks work the whole of Virginia, small towns included. A place that isn't on this list is usually still on a lane we already run — ring +1 (888) 505-1086 and we'll check the access before we quote you.
Virginia's mix is shaped by military and federal relocation. Hampton Roads and Northern Virginia both generate heavy demand for full packing, certified weight tickets, and storage between a report date and permanent housing. Commercial volume is steady across the contractor corridor.

Long-haul household relocations across the continental map — scheduling, documentation, and unpacking on arrival included, with one crew responsible throughout.
The top tier. Concierge-level service: we'll pack, transport, unpack, arrange, and even hang the art on the walls before we leave.
Household moves of every scale. Beds, wardrobes and tables are dismantled, transported and reassembled, and nobody drives off until it is all where it belongs.
Offices, studios and workspaces relocated outside trading hours. The aim is simple: no lost working days between the old address and the new one.
Art, heirlooms, instruments, and glass packed the way galleries pack them, with bespoke crates constructed in your home for anything off-size.
Warehousing with climate control and 24-hour security. Use it for a week between closings or indefinitely; the inventory and the insurance run throughout.
There is no price table on this page on purpose. A figure quoted before anyone has seen your household is a guess, and guesses are what become revised invoices at the far end. What follows is what genuinely shifts the cost of a Virginia move — each line itemized in writing before you sign, and binding once you do.
The practical detail changes by state — where the trucks can go, when the weather cooperates, who licenses whom. Here is how that plays out in Virginia.
I-95 north–south is heavily congested through Northern Virginia, and I-64, I-81, and I-66 handle the rest. Arlington and Alexandria high-rises require certificates of insurance, reserved freight elevators, and often weekday-only moves; some Old Town Alexandria streets are too narrow for a trailer. Hampton Roads adds tunnel constraints — the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel and Monitor-Merrimac restrict certain vehicles and back up badly. Main corridors: I-95, I-64, I-81, I-66, I-495.
Peak is May through August, intensified by military PCS season and the federal fiscal calendar. Late August adds university turnover in Charlottesville and Blacksburg. Hurricane season affects Hampton Roads from June through November, with tidal flooding a recurring issue in Norfolk independent of major storms. Fall is the best statewide window; winter is quiet, with ice storms the main risk on I-81.
Virginia runs close to balance with a slight outflow. Northern Virginia gains federal and tech relocations while losing households to Maryland, Pennsylvania, and the Carolinas on cost. Hampton Roads volume is dominated by military rotation, which is largely cyclical rather than net. Richmond and Charlottesville have grown steadily. Southwest Virginia and the coalfields continue to lose population.
Interstate moves out of Virginia are federal: look for an active USDOT number and FMCSA authority. Ours are USDOT #4575745 and MC-1820728. Movers operating only inside the state answer instead to the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles Motor Carrier Services — a registration that is not authority to take your belongings across the line.
These three catch people out in Virginia often enough that we look for all of them at survey — which is how they end up in the quote instead of on the final invoice.
Hampton Roads and Northern Virginia both generate heavy PCS volume. Those moves need certified weight tickets, fixed delivery dates, and documentation matched to reimbursement requirements, all of which we provide.
The Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel and Monitor-Merrimac restrict certain vehicles and cargo and are frequent congestion points. Routing around them changes timing more than distance suggests.
Parts of Norfolk and Virginia Beach flood on high tides without any storm. We check tide tables when scheduling those moves rather than treating flooding as a storm-only risk.
Crews at work: the Virginia movers who handle family homes, business relocations and cross-country hauls.
What customers want settled before they choose between Virginia movers and the national vans.
Yes, enough that we plan around it. I-95 and I-495 congestion means the same size home takes longer to load in Arlington than in Roanoke, so we start Northern Virginia jobs early and allow more time between pickup and departure. Hampton Roads has its own version of this — the Bridge-Tunnel crossings back up badly and restrict certain vehicles, which affects routing more than the mileage suggests.
Yes, it is one of our steadiest Virginia lanes. PCS relocations need a fixed delivery date rather than a spread, certified weight tickets, and reimbursement documentation. We run those dedicated, and the May-through-July window books out early.
A certificate of insurance naming the building and managing agent, a reserved freight elevator or dock time slot, and usually a weekday business-hours move window. Old Town Alexandria adds narrow streets that often require a shuttle. We arrange all of it.
Richmond to Dallas is about 1,300 miles and to Houston roughly 1,350 — 5 to 9 days consolidated, 2 to 3 days dedicated. If you have a fixed report date, dedicated service gives you a delivery date rather than a spread.
Yes, and there are two separate authorities. Any company moving household goods across a state line must hold an active USDOT number and interstate operating authority from the FMCSA — ours are USDOT #4575745 and MC-1820728, and you can verify both on the FMCSA's public SAFER database before paying a deposit.
Movers working only inside Virginia are registered instead with the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles Motor Carrier Services — and that is not the same thing. An intrastate registration gives no authority to carry your goods across the Virginia line, which is the single most frequent problem we spot in paperwork customers send us to review. While you're checking, settle two more questions: is the price binding or an estimate that can be rewritten at delivery, and is the company a carrier with its own trucks or a broker selling the job on? We are a carrier, our prices are binding, and the crew and truck are ours.
