On the job

The four parts of an Arizona move, in order.

Our own movers, our own photographs: the four things that happen between your two doors.

  1. The house comes first

Protection is laid at both ends before any furniture moves.

  2. Everything wrapped

Furniture is blanket-wrapped and shrink-wrapped before it leaves the room.

  3. Loaded tight

Stacked in tiers and strapped row by row, so nothing shifts over the miles.

  4. Into the right room

Unloaded into the rooms you point to, on the date in your contract.

What we do

Services built around your move.

Arizona moves put the most weight on packing and storage. Summer heat means fragile, electronic, and heat-sensitive items need crating and a climate-controlled compartment rather than a standard trailer bay, and the state's large snowbird population regularly splits a household between delivery and storage on the same contract.

Get my fixed price
  1. Long Distance

Cross-country and interstate relocations. We coordinate logistics, customs paperwork, and destination unpacking — all door to door.

  2. White Glove

Concierge moving at the top of the range: we pack every item, move it, unpack it, put the furniture where you want it, and hang the artwork.

  3. Residential

Studios through to large family houses. Furniture comes apart, travels, and goes back together — and the crew stays until each room is set.

  4. Commercial

Office relocations handled after hours or over weekends, so your team is working from the new space on Monday morning — no downtime.

  5. Packing & Crating

Gallery-standard packing for artwork, antiques, and delicate pieces — and purpose-built crates made at your address when stock sizes don't fit.

  6. Storage

Secure, climate-controlled units under round-the-clock monitoring — a few weeks or a few years, insured and inventoried the whole time.

Pricing

What your Arizona move actually costs, and why.

We would rather explain the price than advertise one. A number produced without a survey has nothing behind it, which is how people end up owing more than they were told. These are the factors that move the cost of an Arizona move — itemized up front, fixed once agreed.

01Distance and lane
Your route sets the floor. Our Arizona lanes run from about 300 miles to Nevada out to roughly 2,160 miles to Florida. Sharing a trailer with other households costs less than a dedicated truck; a dedicated truck buys you a delivery date instead of a spread.
02Access at both ends
Loading conditions swing the bill more than most people expect. A driveway you can back a fifty-three-foot trailer into is a different job from a third-floor walk-up on a permit-only street. We look at the approach at origin and destination up front so nothing is discovered with the truck already loaded.
03How much packing you want
Packing scope is the lever customers control most directly. Full service is the common choice on interstate lanes because a properly packed carton is the difference between a load that arrives whole and one that doesn't. A split — you do the soft goods, we do glass, art and electronics — is just as workable. Built-to-fit crates for anything oversized are quoted on their own.
04Storage between dates
Few moves go straight from door to door on the same day. Where they don't, we hold the shipment in storage-in-transit under the same inventory, and the cost of those weeks is written into your quote from the start. Climate-controlled space is the sensible choice for wood, leather, and anything with a circuit board.
05Valuation and protection
Coverage is not optional on an interstate move — the federal minimum released-value protection is built into every shipment for free. What you choose is whether to step up to Full Value Protection, which repairs, replaces, or settles at market value and is the sensible call for a high-value load.
Local notes

Leaving Arizona: the local detail that matters.

Every state has its own access problems, weather windows, and rules. Here's what shapes an Arizona move in practice.

STEP 01

Roads & access

I-10 carries the bulk of Arizona freight east to El Paso and west to Los Angeles; I-17 climbs to Flagstaff and meets I-40 for cross-country runs. The Valley's newer master-planned suburbs are easy truck access, but the older Phoenix neighborhoods — Encanto, Willo, Coronado — have narrow streets and mature trees that force a shuttle. Flagstaff and the Rim country sit above 6,000 feet, and winter deliveries there can require chains on I-17. Main corridors: I-10, I-17, I-40, I-8, US-60.

STEP 02

Timing your move

Summer in the Valley is the constraint that defines Arizona moving. From late May through September, loading happens at dawn; crews stop by early afternoon, and we never leave electronics, candles, vinyl records, or pressurized items in a trailer parked in the sun. October through April is close to ideal moving weather and, conveniently, is also when snowbird traffic pushes demand up — book early for January and March.

STEP 03

Who is moving, and why

Maricopa County has been adding population faster than almost any other county in the US, and the largest single inbound stream is still Southern California — households trading coastal housing costs for Chandler, Gilbert, and Surprise. Outbound Arizona moves have grown too, mostly to Texas and Idaho, driven by the same cost math one step further. Tucson runs its own pattern, with a strong retiree inflow from the upper Midwest each fall.

STEP 04

Licensing to check

Interstate moves out of Arizona are federal: look for an active USDOT number and FMCSA authority. Ours are USDOT #4575745 and MC-1820728. Movers operating only inside the state answer instead to Arizona's state motor carrier authority, which licenses intrastate household-goods movers — a registration that is not authority to take your belongings across the line.

Good to know

Three Arizona problems worth knowing about.

Most overruns on an Arizona move trace back to one of the three below. We ask about all three up front so the price reflects them from the start.

01

Heat-sensitive inventory

Trailer interiors in Phoenix exceed 150°F in July. Candles, electronics, medications, artwork, musical instruments, and anything with adhesive or vinyl should be flagged so we move them in a climate-controlled compartment or advise you to carry them.

02

55-plus community rules

Sun City, Sun City West, Sun Lakes, and most Green Valley communities restrict move hours, ban weekend truck traffic, and require gate registration days ahead. We file that paperwork, but it needs lead time.

03

Snowbird two-address moves

A large share of Arizona moves are seasonal, with part of the household going into storage and part going north. We can split an inventory across a delivery and a storage-in-transit lot on the same contract.

FAQ

What Arizona customers ask us first.

The things people actually ask before booking Arizona movers for a move out of state.

Constantly — it is our highest-volume Arizona lane in both directions. Phoenix to Los Angeles or San Diego is a 370- to 400-mile run, usually 2 to 4 days door to door. California destinations often need a certificate of insurance for the building and, in dense LA and SF neighborhoods, a street parking permit we arrange in advance.

We load in the early morning, keep trailer doors closed while staged, blanket-wrap and shrink all wood and leather, and route heat-sensitive items into a climate-controlled section. For summer moves we also recommend against leaving anything in storage-in-transit at an uncooled facility.

Yes. Tell us the community name at booking. Most require a certificate of insurance naming the HOA, advance gate clearance for the driver and crew, and moves restricted to weekday daytime hours. We handle the filings; the approval timeline is what needs planning.

Late April through mid-May, or October. You avoid both the summer heat and the winter snowbird surge, and rates sit below the June-through-August peak. The worst combination is a July move booked two weeks out — you pay peak pricing for the hardest loading conditions of the year.

Yes, under two different regimes. Household goods moving over a state line fall to the FMCSA, which issues the USDOT number and the operating authority that goes with it — we hold USDOT #4575745 and MC-1820728. Check any mover's numbers on the FMCSA's free SAFER lookup before you pay a deposit.

If a company only moves people around inside Arizona, its registration comes from Arizona's state motor carrier authority, which licenses intrastate household-goods movers and stops at the state line — it is no licence to take your belongings interstate. That mismatch is the commonest fault in competitor paperwork customers forward to us. Add two more checks of your own: binding price or revisable estimate, and carrier or broker. We are a carrier quoting binding fixed prices, moving you with our own crew on our own truck.
